Farm holidays
Agritourism centre located in the Nebrodi mountains in the province of Messina.
Migliaca is situated on forested slopes overlooking the valley of the Tusa River, with a breathtaking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Native vegetation and extensive groves of centuries-old olive trees make up the landscape. The 205 metre altitude of the estate assures an airy climate, while proximity to the sea allows for quick trips to the beach, only 7 kilometres away. From here you can explore the unknown interior of Sicily, from the forests of the Nebrodi Valley to the tradition bound villages of the surrounding countryside, some still with a decidedly medieval atmosphere.
At Casa Migliaca, interested agri-tourists can enjoy a 19th century country house adjoining an active farm, decorated with olive and lemon trees and rare examples of other native fruits.
The interior of the house preserves original Sicilian architecture, including furniture that reflects the period, creating an authentic and convivial atmosphere.
The tastes and smells of the kitchen evoke rich memories of the Sicilian heritage.
Attending a course at Casa Migliaca will allow you to relive the rhythms of the ancient Sicilian lifestyle. The hospitality and warmth with which guests are welcomed is the strongest factor at Casa Migliaca. Rarely do you find hosts like Teresa Maria and Sebastiano with a true sense of agritourism; this feeling is transmitted to their guests allowing them to rediscover the ancient hospitality of the Sicilian people.
