How to spend your time in Milazzo
Beaches and the sea
For beach-goers, Milazzo is definitely the right choice! While away the days relaxing on the extensive beaches or taking a dip in the crystal clear waters that are a few minutes walk away from the school. The vast majority of the beaches are free to use, although Lidos and beach clubs are dotted along the beach at regular intervals where parasols and sun loungers are available to hire.
History and culture
Those interested in the cultural aspects of our city can stroll through the streets of the “Borgo antico”, Old Town, and admire the imposing, recently restored, castle. Visit the “Palazzo D’Amico”, currently home to the city library, or the “Antiquarium”, which is full of local archaeological finds, or take in one of the many shows on offer at the Trifiletti Theatre.
Nightlife
Walking around Milazzo you come to understand that it is a great place for young people. The many bars, pubs and restaurants really bring the city to life after dark, especially at the weekend.
Sport
Just a short walk from Laboling there is a tennis and sailing centre where you can make full use of two clay-surface tennis courts. There is also a modern and well-equipped gym in the same building as the school. For those who love the sea and don’t want to just spend time sunbathing on the beach, Milazzo also offers many opportunities for diving in the clean, rich waters around the reef and rocks which lead all the way up to Capo Milazzo, the end point of the peninsular.
